We have allocated appointment times every week for acute / recent injuries and urgent problems.
This usually applies to sporting, recreational, and work related injuries which are not so bad as to require an emergency admission to hospital, but which have the potential to put you out of action and work for a considerable time.
Our aim is to assess your injury early and to institute appropriate treatment within a suitable time frame so as to maximise your chances of a complete and early recovery. We want to help you return to your normal life and work as soon as possible.
Dr Mison’s particular interests are injuries involving the knee and shoulder. He also treats injuries involving the hand.
It is often best if your GP or therapist also contacts us regarding the need for an urgent consultation, so that we can organise an appointment for you.
(Significant injuries, including most fractures, are more appropriately dealt with by presenting initially to a hospital Emergency Department. Dr Mison is one of the region’s orthopaedic surgeons who take it in turn to be on call for trauma / fractures at Lismore Base Hospital).
